Patient (Acute Care) Information
St. Joseph's Hospital acute care wing has 9 beds.

The visitor/patient parking lot is located on the West side of the hospital. (Please note there are no winter plug-ins available).
The public card pay phone is located at the main entrance of the hospital in front of the Business Office. Cards may be purchased uptown at Gravelbourg Drugs, Loiselle's Confectionery, etc.
The vending machines are located on the main floor near the Business Office.
Visiting hours are between 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. No more than 3 visitors at a time.
There are ministerial services available for all denominations. Please ask for Spiritual Care.
Visitors can purchase meals at the hospital. Please inquire at the Business Office.
In room private phones can be installed at a charge of $2.50 per day. Arrangements are made with the Business Office.
There is T.V. hook-up (3 channels) available in the rooms at no charge. Inquire at the Business Office. Please note there is a TV with cable in the Foyer area by the fireplace.
There is no smoking at St. Joseph's Hospital. Any patient wishing to smoke, may do so outside.

Applicants must be a Level 3 or 4 category to qualify for admission to Long Term Care. Admission selection will be based on urgency of need for accommodation in accordance with the individual assessment.


RESIDENT CHARGES:

The monthly resident charge (rent) rate is set by Saskatchewan Health and is adjusted from time to time by them to coincide with changes in the federal Old Age Security and Guaranteed Income Supplement payments.

The monthly resident charge does not include the cost of medications, clothing or personal care products or products required for the management of incontinence. A monthly charge of $10.00 will supply the resident with the following items: bar soap, liquid bath soap, shampoo, creme rinse, Kleenex, lotion, powder and perineal cleanser. Colostomy supplies, wound care products and dressings must be ordered from a designated pharmacy.

FINANCES

A Comfort Fund may be set up to purchase personal items and pay for outings, barber and hairdresser costs, etc. All transactions are receipted and accounted for by the Business Office.
